1MA60: GSM/GPRS/Edge Receiver Tests Under Fading Conditions with CMU and SMIQ/ABFS

Abstract
This application note describes how to generate GSM signals for wide ranging receiver tests under fading conditions for GSM/GPRS/Edge. The test setup requires an R&S Radio Communication Tester CMU with IQ-IF interface option CMU-B17 and an R&S vector signal generator SMIQ or baseband fading simulator ABFS for generating GSM. The GSMFadLevCor program included with this application note performs a semi automatic level correction of the power fed to the Device Under Test (DUT).
